Cotswold - Village Hopping!

Today Cynthia met her friends for some seafood cookout feast while I arranged to meet May to go to the Cotswold villages! Typical english countryside, voted one of the most beautiful regions in England. I woke up really early to do some research on where to go and seems like it is much better if you drove coz many beautiful "ulu" villages are not accessible by train from London. Well, so in the end, I decided we could take the train to Moreton-in-Marsh, north Cotswold region and perhaps from there were could take some buses. Read up more at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cotswolds#Location Moreton-in-Marsh is really an unbelievably small town, and nothing much really. A local told us that it is a good base for people to travel to other Cotswold towns since it is one of the few towns with a train station. Wow, ok so we thought we would just venture out from here. But first, lunch first! Many tea houses in Cotswold, so pretty and makes you wanna go in every tea houses for...

Beautiful Norway!

We just came back from Norway for 4 days and boy it was so packed; it really is a 'Norway In a Nutshell' tour. ( http://www.norwaynutshell.com/default.asp?adwords=nutshell&gclid=CNjP9KuJypMCFQyN1Qod5wK7jw ) We travelled via plane, bus, train (day & overnight) and sea.. and I am sure you are as excited as me to see the photos right! hehe The sceneries as you can see below are awesome and we just couldn't stop clicking our cameras. Weather, temperature, everything was perfect and when the sunlight hit the waters, they turned out deep blue and the grass also became greener and all these make postcard perfect pics! Sooo exciting! Simply love the colorful houses we see everywhere esp red colored houses, a stark contrast to the beautiful landscape. Let me share some of my fav pics in the midst while I continue sorting out all the rest of the photos! Oslo #1 Central Oslo, Karl Johan's Gate #2 Nobel Peace Centre, Oslo #3 Royal Palace, Os...

Warwick & Stratford-Upon-Avon

Weather forecast was sunny and we felt we have to go out of London again, to seize the chance while May is still here and we can travel out together :) Oops Cynthia and I both overslept! errr... must be too tired from previous day and so... guess what we thought we reach Marylebone Station (Monopoly comes alive for me) on time; train scheduled to depart at 9.33am and we reached 9.28am? Cynthia rushed to buy tickets from the machine and suddenly this guy was shouting for our train to Stratford and we rushed forward after getting the tickets.. and guess what.. the train departed. Right before out eyes! So sad.. haizz so we were shocked and thankfully one of the nice attendents told us to take the train to Warwick (see the Warwick Castle) before continuing the ride to Stratford-Upon-Avon, and so we did! Warwick is a very quiet place and houses there are very Tudor style (think of Tudor Court in Tanglin) and once again we snapped lots of photos along the way of houses. En...
