A reason to celebrate - Our Epic Trip | Zagreb

Mimi is one of my oldest friends in this world.  We knew each other since we were 7 and so you can imagine we know each other extremely well.  Since our 30th birthday is coming up soon, we thought of an epic 30th trip.  To celebrate our birthdays.  To celebrate our friendship.  To celebrate life. :) We decided to go away to Croatia and Slovenia, as per my recommendations hehe.  I'm intrigued by these two young nations which were part of the former Yugoslavia.  I've always wanted to go to Zagreb, particularly the Plitvice National Park (Plitvička Jezera ) which is a UNESCO site.  And being in Zagreb, why not take a 2h train ride to Ljubljana?  I loved Ljubljana when I was here two years ago and I didn't mind going back again.  Can I say I planned the trip really well, haha coz I had booked highly rated restaurants for every night of our trip before we arrived.  I saved down the names and addresses, and using my trusty iPhone's map, we made our way to every restaurant.

Olympics London 2012

It's a slightly delayed post but am gonna post it nonetheless!  The Olympics has ended and the buzz is slowly going away, although the Paralympics is starting soon on 29th August. Mimi came to visit and we went to watch two games together.  But before that on the first Saturday it started, we decided to be brave by joining the crowds at Hyde Park, where there are big screens showing the games live, and where the atmosphere would be great. And look what Mimi brought!  3 Singapore flags for us to cheer Team Singapore!! In town, on the way to Hyde Park Photo courtesy of Mimi Spotted our flag!  Photo courtesy of Mimi When we arrived at Hyde Park, the security was just like airport security.  No liquids, creams more than 100ml. The various queues to get in.   Waiting in line A sea of people.  Finding a spot to sit and have picnic wasn't quite what I had in mind. "Where should we go?" Yes I had to dress up in patriotic colours!  A

Our Engagement Photoshoot (Part 2)

One of the reasons why I had this idea to do this, is that it is more common for couples to do an engagement photoshoot rather than a pre-wedding photoshoot.  The difference is that engagement photoshoot is casual, and the couple does not wear the actual gown and suit.  I love the fact that when couples get married here, the groom sees his bride for the first time in her gown on the wedding day.  When I saw how Ben teared when he saw Gabby walking down the aisle in her lovely gown, it was such a beautiful moment I remember from their wedding.  Not to say we won't have any wedding shots, but as of now, I think I'd prefer a post wedding shoot.  Or shots taken on the actual day maybe.  Not sure yet, too early to decide now haha 3) St. Paul's Cathedral This is a beautiful and majestic cathedral.  K's office overlooks the cathedral, and it is a 10min walk for me from my old office.  We used to meet on the steps and walked to the nearest Malaysian Cafe to have dinner, whi
