The Jurassic Coast (Part 1)

Sometime back our friend Lawrence sent out an email asking if anyone's interested to visit The Jurassic Coast over a weekend in July.  I have to admit that was the first time I have heard of this place.  First thought I had was this was probably the place where they found some dinosaur bones.  Hmm not sure if I would like it… fossils? Separately my manager sighed and turned to me one random day saying that in one of his wildest dreams he would like to sell his house here and move to Wareham.  He would go sailing everyday and then end the day at the pub with a pint.  "Wareham?" I asked.  Yes he said "it's near the Jurassic Coast".  Hmm that got me all intrigued. My travelling companions - 3 boys! So the trip happened last weekend and can I say that this place exceeded my expectations.  Boring dino fossils?  Nope.  Breathtaking coastlines?  YES! Jixian was kind enough to be our dedicated driver and I do applaud him for driving more than 3 hours

New Look!

After using the previous blog template for the past two years, I have finally decided to sit down one afternoon and do up my new blog look.  I still like the previous blog banner but I think a new look is long overdue. What do you think?  Let me know! Counting down till one of my dear friends arrives from Singapore.

Celebrating love in Lyon

On the back of my last post, for those on my Facebook you would probably know that K and I spent a short weekend getaway to Lyon for our one year wedding anniversary. We didn't really know where to go but we both do like France a bit more and I remembered Lyon being the culinary capital of France.  We flew in after work on Friday night and touched down at 1030pm.  We made our way taking the Rhone Express (their tram service) to Part-Dieu, the commercial district, and where the main train station was, and from there we hailed a cab to our B&B, about 5km away.  I had arranged with the B&B owners for a very late check in and they told us they would leave the lights on in our room so we know where to go to.  The room was lovely, everything seemed brand new and the bed was so comfy.  Our room overlooked the front garden too. When we awoke on Saturday we were greeted by Mimi and Nicholas, a very happy smiley couple.  They greeted us with a "Bienvenue!"

Being married, a year on...

Whoa!  How fast time flies.  I know I always say that.  Last year on the perfect day of Saturday 29th June, I got married to an amazing man.  Everything to me was perfect.  The loved ones who celebrated with us, the beautiful weather, the decor, the ceremony, the peacock lounge, the peacocks roaming about, the balloons, the flowers, the cake, everything.  THE GROOM.  Ok maybe except the sky lanterns.  That day is still vivid in my mind and I secretly wish I could live through that day again. Like how my giggly conversations with my girl friends before about boys, it's one thing to know boys and another to live with them.  I think I shall blog about how living with K has been. 1) The love-hate thing with laundry.  I love to go home on Friday nights to quickly finish doing the week's laundry. Me thinks: if I clear through that pile of dirty clothes on Friday night, I have the whole weekend to relax - woohoo!  I like to "suffer first and enjoy late
