continuation of my Home Sweet Home 2 post...

As you might already know, I am back in S'pore for a week and managed to find some time in between to do up 2 photo collages of my trip home last month. http://belindagoeslondon.blogspot.com/2009/10/home-sweet-home-2.html

hei

Presenting Hei, my big fat bunny. She's squashed in a shoe box.

baking muffins

I tried baking for the first time yesterday!! I had planned to have a stay-in Saturday to bake muffins (so cold now better stay home). And then I saw Faith for dinner on Thursday and she mentioned she hasn't been to mine since I moved in. She's just 3 minutes away and so I thought I'd invite her to my place and bake together! Weather was horrible.. the winds howled; the leaves were all over the neighbourhood and it was dark and gloomy. I thought the tree outside was gonna fall on my house anytime! Anyway so Faith called me and asked "Do you have measuring cups?" "No." "ok I'll bring." "Do you have mixing bowl?" "No." "ok I'll bring." "Do you have baking trays?" "No." "ok I'll bring." (and this continued...) Haha I know what you are thinking.. how can I bake with nothing in my kitchen??! In the end we figured she was eventually gonna bring her whole kitch...

:: mad world ::

I have been looking for this song for like the past one year! I first heard it being used as one of the songs in the Christmas special musical in church last year and have been trying to find out what song is it exactly and I finally found it!! Apparently there are many covers of the song and this particular version is by Gary Jules. It's kinda depressing feel to it but oh well, watch it and hear it for yourself. Enjoy. Lyrically the song is pretty loose. It throws together a lot of different images to paint a picture without saying anything specific about the world. — Roland Orzabal

And off to the countryside we go

And that was how our day trip all started. A simple but enjoyable day in Winsor and Eton (yes the prestigious school where Prince William studied at) with Lydia, Faith and Liandi.

be very afraid

more autumn leaves

This is what I see when I look out from my balcony door. The wind blew nonstop for a whole afternoon and gathered all these leaves outside my neighbour's. Someone lend me... a rake?! I wonder if I need to be bothered about all these fallen leaves in my garden.

Keep on keeping warm

Keep Warm . Yes, this is my winter mantra this year. It's that cold time of the year again and as I think back on how sick I was last winter I shudder at the thought, especially now that I am staying on my own. Hence, I need to keep on.. keeping WARM . I've been having tips from friends and colleagues and man, when I think back of last winter (which was super cold btw), I feel sad for both Cynthia and me! We were seriously pathetic!! For some reason, we just ENDURED. Our rooms underfloor heating didn't work. We accepted it and endured. Every night, we jumped into icy cold beds and I would lie there in and not move for like 10 whole minutes before my body slowly warmed up, not the whole bed but ONLY the surface area which I was lying on can you imagine. My bolster was icy cold and I didn't use it much. Towards the end of winter, some friends knew about our heating problem and advised us to get portable heaters but oh well, we were more than halfway thru so Cynth...

秋天的童话

Before I could say "chill and relax!", Alicia sent me a message saying "Eh Sat go Hampton Court okie.. got nice autumn trees there! Take photossss." Well maybe not exactly in these words but you get the picture. And so, battling jet lag and a messy house waiting to be tidied, I gamely agreed. The London landscape has changed quite a bit in the past 2 weeks! Trees turning yellow/reddish and there are many fallen leaves on the ground. Every season has it's beauty altho' I think Autumn is slightly more beautiful (and romantic looking too!) than the rest. The changing seasons really showcases the wonderful creation of our Heavenly Father. It's like Spring signals the awakening of the trees and flowers after a long and cold winter. You see the greens coming out of the landscape and rejoice because it means warmer days are here. Then it's Summer where days are long and nights are short. You feel happy because of nice warm sunny days and even after ...
