I am married!!

Wow the day just zoomed past like this and I am actually married!  *Allowing reality to sink in for a few moments* In the ceremony room The ceremony room I know Jesus loves us because the day before it was raining and gloomy and this morning when we awoke, lo and behold the sun was shining and the sky was the perfect kind of blue.  After months of planning, reading up and research, I think it did turn out to how I wanted it to be and it was beautiful. I shan't blog too much because there is a special post coming up but for now, a few pics to share of the day! Up up and away

5 more sleeps.. and a crazy wedding outdoor shoot!

Wow 5 more sleeps!  I think I am experiencing wedding jitters?  My appetite seems to have reduced in the past few days... hmm... We just did a very tiring but fun photoshoot around London yesterday.  But before that... Different countries have different wedding traditions and culture.  Telling my local friends here about a pre-wedding shoot they have no clue what I am talking about.  The wedding dress is meant to be worn first on the wedding day and it is THE moment, for the groom to admire his bride walking down the aisle for the first time (and probably shed some tears).  The dress is always kept a secret, not even shared among friends.  It is that big an affair.  And then back in Singapore, the couple goes down to the bridal studio to choose the dress and the suit to rent together.  It is very much a joint decision.  So when I went back last October to choose my gown with my girl friends, the designer at the bridal shop was feelin...

Bringing Papa around London

It is always so good to see family again: to welcome them to London and being their host and tour guide.  Today we went to Borough Market to soak in the Saturday morning atmosphere.  All that buzz. Took a photo with my papa today which somehow filled me with love and admiration for him when I look at this photo.  I realised I have missed my papa.  So glad to see him :))

20 more sleeps

Over here they love to do count downs by the number of sleeps left.. so as of today, we have 20 more sleeps to the big day!  Tummy always does some flip flops thinking about the big day. Was speaking to Janine and Monica about weddings (yes so much wedding talk these days, it is the year of the weddings for me and a lot of people around me).  We were lamenting we don't like being in the centre of attention and can you imagine all the emotions racing through you that day?  I think I might be wide awake the night before.  And oh oh walking down the aisle... man I am not sure if I can control my emotions.  Anyway Janine said her friend did this waving thing while walking down the aisle- looking at guests and doing a big wave smiling "thanks for coming!" or "Oh hey, great to see you!"  You get what I mean.  We were analysing that probably is the way for her friend to calm her nerves?  I told Janine she could consider this option.  "Maybe throw ...

Hen Party, Baby!

As far as I am aware, a hen do is not very common back in Singapore (or maybe it has changed in the past 5 years I am not sure) but I wasn't fussed about having one.  Over here, my impression of hen parties are really crazy partying and if you know me, you know I am not the party sort of girl.  Gabby and the rest of my bridesmaids were so kind to organise a hen do for me, and clearly they knew me well.  Before that... It was a crazy busy weekend to say the least.  On Saturday morning, we had a reunion picnic with the Richards at Greenwich Park.  Liandi, Joel, Faith and Noel all whom I used to hang out with are back in London town from Perth and I was so excited to finally meet them after 2 years, and say hi to their new additions - Ezra and Ethan. I want Ethan's eyelashes... handsome little boy Been 2 years since we last saw Liandi On our way to the picnic It was probably the shortest picnic I've been to because we had to leave after an hour a...

Another bank holiday weekend | First picnic of the year

Ahh I think May is my favourite month because there are two bank holiday Mondays.  What a joy especially when the sun is out and shining.  Sarah mentioned they were organising an impromptu picnic at Greenwich Park with a bunch of folks from church.  Since K and I were free, we decided to join in the fun.  About 20 people turned up - not bad for an impromptu event.  You can guess everyone was really eager to take advantage of the sunshine.  At the local M&S, sandwiches and cold salads were flying off the shelves, and the queue was really long.  And then feet shuffling all towards Greenwich Park. What a glorious day as the photos below would show.  We walked around the area a bit... Royal Naval College Crossing over to the Royal Naval College Children's pond in Greenwich Park Walking towards the Children's Pond where everyone was to gather but it's massive Guess who turned up too?  Rebecca and Marcia, my ex hou...
