Last Monday was a bank holiday and so Cynthia, Grace and I took a one day tour out of London to Winsor Castle, the ancient city of Bath and the all-mysterious Stonehenge.
Here, let the pictures narrate our day:-

Bath
Bath is a quiet little town, with some Roman ruins, basically using geothermal water, full of nutrients, for their baths which was known to be good for health. They were built by the Romans (of course) and discovered many many years after.
Personally I didn't really like Bath because it is just a quiet town and if we talk about roman ruins, I think nothing beats Ephesus in Turkey. That one is in a much greater scale and much grander.
above: outside the Roman Bath; inside the great bath. The water is green because the roof is no more and sunlight shines in the pool, promoting algae growth (eeee)
Stonehenge
We travelled far to come see these mysterious rocks. Why mysterious because there is no definite answer on how these rocks came about. Most likely they were used as a solar calendar, to tell people of long ago what month was it and apparently on the longest and shortest sunlight day of the year, the sun shines on the rock and somehow it will form a straight line (can't remem the exact words of our guide but pretty much it).
Unfortunately, many of the rocks are gone today and to protect them, they have cordoned off a whole perimeter around the rocks so we can only see from afar.
This marks the end of a tired but fulfilling day, wrapping up with a lovely dinner at Four Seasons restaurant (yes Chinese food again) at Bayswater, apparently super famous in London.
Verdict - super nice. We'll be back. haha
