Wednesday - Team Dinner!
|
Drunken Monkey |
I often hear that people in London are rather individualistic (to which yes I agree to a certain extent) but I was glad that we found time to go out for a team dinner on wednesday. Two thumbs up for our organizer! Janine picked this place called Drunken Monkey which haha serves dim sum set dinner and the locals said it's good. Not bad lah I'd say altho the concept of eating dim sum for dinner is something new for me, and of coz not forgetting their favourite - booze. Our team marched out at 630pm together much to the amazement of the rest (kinda reminded me of my TP PL team days bk in SG!). It was much fun and laughter and before we knew, we realised it was like 11plus..!

Love my team - from all over the world. Australia, India, Ireland, England, Turkey and of course Singapore! |

Me and Janine - the only two girls in the team! |

Thursday - Barbican Concert
|
Academy of St. Martin in the Fields |
The annual Mostly Mozart concert just started and Thursday was the opening concert so we heard them play Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven by this orchestra which my piano teacher said is quite well known. We were quite surprised to see that the majority of the crowd were old people though! gosh we wonder why.. (During intervals you hear a lot of coughing haha bet they were supressing for a long time in between. haha so cute.)
After the concert, they had fireworks by the river! Quite nice and oddly, the backdrop for the fireworks was our office building haha but it's not like the super grand kind like our national day. It reminded me more of my trip to Hua Lien, Taipei where we played with those fireworks. ooh great fun it was for us... that I had to recommend my friends Maddy and Cindy there.. oh ok back to the opening night.. more pics below, see our office building in the background!
