As I prepare to spend Christmas at home this year (I know we are not quite there yet, but I am just so excitable when it comes to Christmas) Can I say I am extremely excited to spend it back home this year! To be able to see and hug my family (my dear grandma especially) and friends after more than a year… wow this is something that even I shocked myself.. I didn't know I could actually spend that long a time away from home in one stretch. And this year, I don't have to co-ordinate the Germany-Singapore timing and do a webcam from Stuttgart on Christmas eve, wave madly from Pris' study room and see the massive spread of local home cooked food on the dining table back home whilst shouting "hellooooo…. can you hear meeeee?!"
So while I rejoice at this fact, there is also a part of me which feels bittersweet because I will definitely miss spending another Christmas with the Tews in Stuttgart Germany. They are my second family in Europe, my home away from home. They are truly a godsend family, and I really believe that God sent them to bless and take care of me during my favourite holiday season. The way they've made me feel being part of their family for the past 2 Christmases have been incredible, literally welcoming me with open arms. And each time, Pris and Stephan would be the perfect hosts, bringing me to the Christmas markets, buying german sausages and drinking mulled wine in the cold crisp December air. And of course following them to their special Christmas service at their church, where I will for sure, need a German-English translator headset. We would then going over to Anita and Werner's for that unforgettable racklett dinner, followed by exchanging (lots and lots of) Christmas presents under their massive tree.

Thank you soooo much Pris, Stephan, Sabrina, Anita and Werner. You all hold a special place in my heart and you guys really reflect what the true spirit of Christmas is about. They say you can't have the best of both worlds, so I am gonna miss you all this year, and without a doubt, think of you all when I am with my family back home this Christmas. =)
