Right, this title post is a movie title from years ago, and altho' I don't remember if I ever watched it, I've always got the impression that Tuscany in Italy is a ridiculously beautiful place. So for this Easter, yes I went to (northwest) Tuscany including Florence! Cyn came with her bf and so after 2 years we reunite for another trip. Oh the good times :) Also my new Singaporean friend K joined us for this trip so this year I have a new travelling companion :)
PISA
Our first stop. The all-famous leaning tower that everyone knows. This was a beautiful place which I really loved. The blue cloudless sky, the green green grass, and there standing there majestically are the Baptistry, the Duomo and that leaning belfry tower.
There were lots of tourists, and everyone was trying to do that same cheesy pose- including me!!

It was a short few hours' stay in the town of Pisa but I enjoyed it a lot.
THE TUSCAN COAST - CHIANTI
Since we have a car for two days, we thought we would stay in an "ulu" place, away from the city and in a more rustic apartment in the Tuscan countryside. It was a beautiful place and the owners had their own olive grove; they sell their own olive oil as well as homemade jam (reminds me of the Tews!).
I guess most people do not come here for the coast but since we were near, we decided to drive along the coast on our second day.

Love the rolling Tuscan hills
Love this pic of the building. Reminds me of Provence in the French countryside.
Next up, Florence!
My "homework". I grilled my intern with so many questions about Florence coz she's half Italian. Such a nice girl- she printed out a map for me and pointed out all the must go places.

Their faithful dog which pretty minded its own business. No matter how much we tried to play with it, it pretty much ignored us! Maybe it only understands Italian?
The simple but lovely bedroom
And behold, their own swimming pool!
A shed at the back of their house

Such blue waters!
And scheduling a wine tasting session at this winery in the famous Chianti region in the afternoon. Bad choice. We were too ambitious. We didn't expect to be caught in a 2h jam and so when we finally reached the winery, they were just about closing their doors! Boo... I was really disappointed. Oh well, lesson learnt. This is not Singapore guys!
