You will never guess this and neither will I, but there is actually this place called Deal, an approximate 2h drive from London. It's along the coast of Kent, near Dover (where you can drive into Paris by taking this huge passenger and vehicle ferry across the English Channel). It's a very small and quiet town, not touristy at all which was quite good as it's very local. A lot of elderly folks actually.
Another interesting fact- it's next to this other town called... Sandwich! Hmm I wonder how did they get their names from. Imagine a conversation "So where do you live?" "Sandwich." "Right..." Ok, anyways.. back to Deal.
It was a short day trip out of London, away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city and to nature. To the beach. To watch the waves lapping against the shoreline. To the simplicity of life.
Relaxing on the pebbles.. hmm not sure about how relaxing can it be.
What a quiet beach. Where is everyone?
Trying to look cool in my sunglasses
Later, as we drove through Sandwich, it's like a town that stood the test of time. It was really old.. and a very quiet town.

Trying to look cool in my sunglassesWe enjoyed a jug of Pimms on a hot summer's day listening to a live band playing (actually it was way too much! We would probably be drunk if we finished the whole thing.)
