Sunset in the Wharf taken from my office today.Far ahead is the Shard, the tallest building in the UK, still under construction.
When I first started, I felt it being so weird having work and home so close by. I can walk to work if I want, it would probably take 25min or so. Walking 25min is very common over here. In fact, my colleagues question why I am not walking to work. I always reply saying yes I am just waiting for the weather to turn warmer.. hehe.. excuses I know.
It's sad to move from the charming old City to a concrete jungle but overall, I really cannot complain. I am home in a jiffy and everything in this building is brand new. New big monitors, new video phones... everyone is happy.
Did I mention the amazing views perched on the 24th floor? On a clear and sunny day, you can see as far as St. Paul's Cathedral (where my old office is near), Tower Bridge, London Eye, and the Shard which is being constructed at the moment. On the other side towards the east, we can see the Olympics stadium too which is very cool.

In the direction of K's place
Alicia's old house in the far distance - Ontario Tower
And I can see the building very clearly from K's balcony and his bedroom. Not sure if it is a good thing. Too close for comfort I think!
View of the O2 Arena which is not too far away either!
