Look at the weight of the snow on the plants |
We woke up to this scene on Sunday morning. WOW so much white all around, Bel was one happy bunny. Of course it's nice to be indoors under a duvet.. reading or writing, with a cup of hot tea beside the bed. And occasionally glancing towards the window admiring the snow.
But on the other hand, it would be fun to check out how is it like outside! So after lunch, I suggested to K to have an after lunch walk out in the snow. By then it was heavy snowfall and I was even more excited. It's not every day you get snowfall in London with all the high rise buildings around us y'know.
I realise it's so different when it snows. People outside are playing with the snow, laughing and making snowballs throwing at each other, or passers by like us. We walked part a group of kids and they threw snowballs at us. Laughing, we had to retaliate and threw some back at them. It was fun! And we spotted quite a few snowmen. The very first one we passed by was being done by a group of kids. They had a pet dog playing around in the snow too. We walked along the path which we usually jog. It was incredible how much snow was on the ground. We came to another patch of grass and I had to make a snow angel in the ground, while K started building a snowman. Which reminded me of ice kachang.
Let the snow pics begin!

Who says it has always gotta be snowman? Snow monkey could do too! |
We wanted to turn back by this time but K knew my original plan was to walk to Millwall Park, near where I used to live, and so said we can have a quick look before heading back (probably taking the DLR back would be a good idea).
Wow Millwall Park was a complete white blanket and there were so many people building so many snowmen! One huge snowman was standing in the field looking all important as you can see.

Look at us - all wet and cold. Time to head home for a hot shower and drink. |
Guess what - it is still snowing outside. Spotted yet another snowman in front of our balcony. I am wondering how it would be tomorrow. I might wear my snow boots to work. Or would people be snowed in and thus unable to come to work? Would be interesting.
On a slightly more serious note.. I am gonna end off with my "snow revelation"- Jesus' blood washes white as snow. I had this revelation the very first time I saw snow in Canada many years ago and ever since then, it comes back to me every winter when it snows.
A hymn of yesteryear which we used to sing during chapel services in school:
O the blood of Jesus
O the blood of Jesus
O the blood of Jesus
It washes white as snow
What a great Sunday! :)
