This is a pretty long trip back home. I have been back for almost 1.5 weeks now and I have a few more days to go. I think my body did not like the huge drastic change in temperatures and so I have caught the flu bug *boohoo*
Nonetheless it didn't stop me from my food feasting. Eating out at posh restaurants is nice but I realise what I really like is to eat local fare at hawker centres. Bring on the chwee kueh, fried carrot cake, braised duck noodles, yong tau foo soup, chendol dessert, fried bee hoon for breakfast and chicken rice. Throw in the occasional Japanese ramen, unagi rice bowl, tempura and sushi. And squeeze in some home cooked food. Yup these are
some of the food which I have eaten since I touched down on 1st March.

Local breakfast - might not look appetising but this to me is one of the best breakfast to have.
Fried vermicelli and chwee kueh (the chilli is important!) |

From grandma's kitchen. Simple fare but they are all my fav dishes :) |
The two major reasons why I am back this time: my close friend Corinne's wedding where I was one of her bridesmaids, as well as my grandma's 89th birthday. And of course to prepare for my own wedding which is so much work I don't even know where to start.
I shall blog about Corinne's wedding afterwards because I wanna share some pics taken at my grandma's birthday dinner. The whole family, that is 15 of us, gathered for a big dinner. Which was great for me cos I get to see everyone too on that night.

Ma-ma, may Jesus continue to bless you with His divine health and length of days; and may He continue to give you His joy and peace every day of your life. We all love you!!
