Love it that Bank Holidays are always on a Monday in this country. It's our delayed Labour Day. And guess what - they say it's gonna be the warmest day of the year on Monday! (Repeatedly on the radio - 23deg guys, 23deg!) Sales of BBQ stuff have rocketed this weekend. I'm so excited although I don't know what we are gonna do yet!
To kickstart the long weekend, look at what most office workers do when the sun is shining after work:

Friday 6pm: I peered down from the 21st floor looking down at the crowd gearing up for the weekend |
Not a drinker myself (rather a shopper!), I arranged to meet Gabby on Regent Street to hit the stores. I have to tell you that as much as we girls love shopping, this is the first time we both met to go shopping together. I don't know why we didn't think of doing this much earlier?!

Min look! From macarons to t-shirts. Love Laduree. And yes I grabbed a t-shirt :) |
Yesterday K & I went to check out the annual Sony World Photography Awards exhibition at Somerset House. This was our second time there and we love this place that is along the River Thames. I enjoyed the exhibition despite the crowd where I had to nimbly squeeze through people trying to read the caption of every photo which tells a story. They showcase the winners for the various categories such as Lifestyle, Current Affairs, People, Animals, Panoramic, etc.. and one of the main winners this year in the People category is a Norwegian photographer who took photos of the victims of the Norwegian attack in July 2011. Reading the stories of each person being photographed was a sad and sombre affair. And in the midst of the exhibits, I spotted two winning entries from Singapore! Yayy!

At night we joined Chun Lei and co for dinner at a small pizzeria called Story Deli, supposedly the best food item in the world, as per article on Bloomberg.com. Actually it does sound a bit funny, to take directives on food from Bloomberg. In any case Chun Lei's friends were very keen to try it and so we all arranged to meet promptly at 7pm at this pizzeria in Shoreditch. The crust is very thin and crispy, like the crispy prata we have back home, with loads of toppings and a generous drizzle of olive oil. The first bite and everyone went "mmm..." but at the halfway point, I felt it was a bit too oily for me. In fact I felt a bit sick of the oiliness. Overall we enjoyed it, probably one of the better pizzas I have had but best in the world? Hmm... not quite sure.
