Hello everyone! I missed blogging for the past 2 weeks. Life has been busy busy. There was the annual Hillsong Colour Conference at the Wembley Arena for 3 days, where I, together with 10,900 women (yes more than 10,000 women!) all sat at the feet of Jesus soaking in all the
rhema words He had for us. In between services on that Friday, I even sneaked out for a final job interview - more on that later. And then barely recovering - thank God for that Bank Holiday Monday - my girls and I jetted off to Sorrento and Capri in Southern Italy for our early beach break.
Before blogging about beautiful Italy, here is my take on this year's Colour Conference.
I have since learnt not to take the Colour and annual Hillsong conference for granted. Living in London gives me the access to these conferences so easily and I have to say I especially enjoy Colour every year. It's more girly and fun than the main Hillsong conference. I love the fact that girls set aside 3 days every year, taking time off school and work, and come together to worship our Saviour and just refresh our souls and also to spend some girly time with friends. True, Hillsong is great at using all sorts of media and presentations to make it look cool and fun, but hey why not leverage these things when they are available? Make these conferences relevant in the 21st century hey :)
I've also realised that every year, I come with an expectant heart. I've always come with questions or prayers for God to answer and this year is no exception. This year my heart's topic is on my job and career direction.

We heard from all great speakers this year, including the legendary Joyce Meyer who received thunderous cheer and applause. Seeing her on TV and suddenly seeing her in person. Wow.

| Joyce Meyer in the flesh, people! |
She preached a good message about rainbows (figuratively) and chastisements in life- What to do when you don't get what you want, and you see others having what you want? It was a message of encouragement, and opened my eyes to see that this is actually a cycle in our lives. Our rainbows will come, take heart! On the other hand if you keep receiving rainbows after rainbows in life, how do you really know how to appreciate each rainbow?

Another young and inspiring pastor is Dawn-Chere Wilkinson from the USA. Oh she is like a life sized barbie doll. She preached about God's love rushing over us, and her second message was on the topic of "Slow Burn". How long more do we wait for our prayers to come through? Just like a dynamite, the fire that sets it off is usually small, steady and unassuming. However when it lights off the dynamite, it sets off such a huge explosion. She likens our faith to be that unwavering steady small flame. If we hold on and keep it burning, soon it would lead to some big and explosive.

And then we had Beth Moore, who taught us that we should all be Christian communicators in our generation. Her passion for the word of God was just breath taking. I really enjoyed listening to her.
