We stayed at Sorrento for two nights. Our hotel was nestled amongst lemon groves high in the cliff facing Capri in the distance. Thankfully the hotel provides regular shuttle services into the city centre which we used pretty often.

We took the shuttle out to have dinner on both nights and in fact we found one restaurant which was so good that we went back on two nights in a row. Gabby ordered a fish ravioli which was "mmmm so beautiful" in her words.

Before dinner we stumbled upon this serene house and courtyard which Marketa gasped and said it's the scene of a movie based in Sorrento, All You Need is Love |

Capri
The next day, we decided to take the boat to Capri, which is 30min ride away from the port in Sorrento. We paid EUR 35 for a return trip and off we went.
When we arrived at the island we decided to take a boat ride around Capri, which was for about two hours. We saw the cliffs and the expensive hotels dotted on the circumference of this island. Capri is a favourite summer destination for the rich and famous. Marketa came here for a solo trip 6 years ago and so she knows this place relatively well. We walked around and had a late lunch - salad with fresh juice. Before taking the boat back, she suggested walking up to see a nice view of the island and the surroundings.

On the last day, we decided to take it easy by relaxing by the pool. After some time, Gabby and I decided to take the shuttle bus to walk around Sorrento and Marketa would meet us there 4h later with our luggages.

We stumbled upon a sandals shop with a sweet old lady working in it. She told us in part Italian, part English that she learnt the skill of sandals making from her dad and this shop has been in existence for 50 years. I felt drawn to her for some reason and after chatting with her, I felt strongly to buy a pair from her :)

Overall a very girly and fun trip to the beautiful south of Italy. Highly recommended!
