I was home for about two weeks recently and one of the milestones was getting to know my little niece Sarah Zoe. The last time I saw her was in March where she was just a baby, being cradled in my arms looking up at me with her big round eyes. Fast forward 8 months later and wow she is walking and running around, although sometimes looking like she's had a bit to drink with her staggering steps. You'll get there soon darling.
She first saw me when she first woke up that Saturday morning. She looked shocked and tried to run away. My sister in law Denise had to coax her to remind her this is aunt Bel whom she is used to seeing on FaceTime. "The is the live version - she is here now." she explained. We soon made friends with a formal handshake of "Hi, how do you do!" (We are formal like that… lol) Appears that little Sarah loves handshakes and once you start, she will proceed to extend her little hand out to everyone in the room and chuckles with childlike innocence. Such an adorable little girl, my niece! :)
Needless to say, once again I went back with new clothes for her. Aunt Bel always keeping little Sarah's wardrobe in close fashion check. I've always planned to buy her a cute little pink tutu skirt and I was so glad when I saw it the weekend before my trip. I also threw in a hairband along the way, and here she is, decked in her new outfit with her two bunny friends, with one coincidentally decked in a pink tutu skirt too.

| BFFs, hand bands and all ;) She was trying to tell me her little finger was hurting. Nothing a little kiss couldn't do, little lovely. |
We hung out for the next few days and soon she was running to me and giving me hugs, melting my heart. Oh my she is growing up too fast!
I was glad I could split my time equally between my grandma's and dad's for this trip, enabling me to spend enough time with all my loved ones. It is always so refreshing to see everyone and how God has continued to bless my family, especially now with our little munchkin who never fails to brighten up our days. It was also nice to spend some time with K's family. I enjoyed our late night chats with my brother and sis in law just chatting about life, catching up, and my brother who kindly took a day off to accompany me, bringing me and dad to my favourite fish soup stall (still so good despite hot steaming soup in the sweltering heat..). Seeing how happy my grandma was to see me and filling the dinner table with all my favourite dishes. All in all, I felt very loved indeed.

Till next time, may God's shalom peace continue to fill this family. Eat more on my behalf this Christmas ok! And little Sarah, let's continue to dance-dance and twirl-twirl when we meet next time!
Lots of love, Bel.
