I had no idea that we were a mere 30min drive to a beautiful lavender farm. Back in February, we were talking randomly about lavender and Rachel mentioned something which stopped me in my tracks. She said she had been to a massage at a lavender farm in Kent before. What? Say that again?

Massage and lavender sounds like the perfect combination to me. Ooh let me check it out! So the kiasu Singaporean in me proceeded really quickly and helped us 3 girls booked 3 massage slots at the Hop Farm in Shoreham, Kent for a Saturday 5 months later. I was really glad I did that because we later found out that they open up for massage only 2 weeks in a year (during the harvest season when it is also the most beautiful and fragrant) and these slots get booked up by April.
Fast forward 5 months later, we soon were making plans for our little massage day trip. JX was kind enough to be the driver for us girls and Rachel found this pub 20min from my place in Farningham. Everything sounded like a good plan.

| Drying lavender bunches |
Our massage was for 230pm and we arrived in good time. The deep purple fields of lavender greeted us and it was really busy, teeming with visitors armed with cameras. The weather was dry and hot with fluffy clouds in the blue skies. There was the occasional breeze which brought us whiffs of these beautiful lavender.

We took some photos and excitedly registered with the lady at the massage hut. In the distance, we would see some bright blue parasols with white massage tables (what you see in the pic above). We were asked to wait in a small hut by the edge of the field, and that our therapist would come to get us. Soon enough I was ushered by this lady to my spot, right next to Rachel and RX.
The sun was shining and there were moments where I felt really warm but then a breeze would blow and send whiffs of lavender to me and I was slowly drift off.. mmm... towards the end I really did doze off but to be woken up by the therapist. What bliss, I never thought I'd get to do something like this. This is a much needed relaxing session, trust me. So glad I got to do it.
