A few weeks ago, exactly on my 9th anniversary in London (wow where has all the time gone to?), I met up for dinner with some friends and while we were passing by Leicester Square I spotted the relatively new Lego store and beckoned for the group to have a quick look. Apparently the queue to enter the store is usually pretty long and for some reason there was no queue that night. Let's go!
CY who has been before said it's a very nice store and we girls would like it. When we stepped in, I felt like a kid again and went ooh and ahh over all the awesome looking Lego displays. I've been to the one in Copenhagen, Denmark where Lego is from, which was pretty awesome but I thought this is on another level. These two floors are simply Lego paradise.

In the display front, yep all made using Lego bricks except for this metal pole |
Of course we need to have Big Ben. Look at the intricacies of the Lego bricks! |
Another London icon - the Tube map of major attractions with a Tube driver, no less |
This piece of wall mural stretched over 3 walls and people were all busy trying to take a pic (or two) of this |
Another section of the wall mural. Can't believe they are all Lego bricks. |
We marvelled at some of the expert level Lego sets, such as the ones you see below.. they are meant for ages 16 and above. If you managed to spot the sign that says "hotel delivery available" you need to know every one of these expert boxes is really heavy! Needless to say, the price was into the hundreds.

How cool to have one of these! |
Could I perhaps entice you to get the Disney castle? Fireworks not included. |
On the ground floor, there was a 3D model of an Underground train with a Lego driver with the most un-reassuring look ever.
Mind the gap! |
And there we were, sharing seats with a horse guard and you'd never guess - Shakespeare! lol Perhaps that explains the look on the driver. |

A group pic minus CY with a Scotland Yard policeman |
Ah the iconic red telephone booth |
For all you Lego fans, there is even a Lego Mosaic maker which can print out your photo and they provide you the correct accented colour Lego bricks so you can piece your own Lego portrait and hang it up. Really cool. And really popular. GBP99 each and all the slots were fully booked on that day when we were there.
We spent about 30min in the store and we truly enjoyed it. For anyone visiting London, set aside some time to visit this awesome store!
