As mentioned we arrived at St Malo bright and early on a summer's morning. The town was still asleep, save the few boulangeries (bakeries) that just opened with fresh smells of croissants filling the air. We walked around for more than an hour and took photos.
But first, let me share a pic of our little cabin on Brittany Ferries haha

Did you know that the Breton stripes originated from this region of Brittany? I love stripes, I really do. In fact I've lost count of how many pieces of striped clothing I own. Many of the shopfronts we saw that few days were displaying various tops and dresses such as the below. Wearing a Breton striped top with jeans, paired with a beige or brown light trench is tres chic and very french indeed. Oohlala
Fun fact!
The Breton stripe shirt was first introduced in 1858 as the uniform for all French navy seaman in Northern France. The original design featured 21 stripes, one for each of Napoleon Bonaparte’s victories and the distinctive stripes made it easier to spot wayward sailors who had fallen overboard.
